As the cool breeze of the Seine River gently passed by and the shadow of the Eiffel Tower loomed overhead, 39 exhausted students made their way toward the street, anticipating a much deserved dinner and reflecting on a day of exciting but tiring sightseeing. What awaited them, however, was hardly expected.
“We were in Paris, and after a nice river cruise on the Seine River, we happened to walk along [the riverfront] and start a rave with hundreds of locals..it was an amazing time,” senior Daniel MacMillan said.
The tour group quickly turned into a dance party that caught on as students began dancing with other tourists and locals to a nearby restaurant’s live music on the bank of the river.
“It was mostly spontaneous. There was a DJ playing some music, and we all just felt like we needed to rave..[it ended up lasting] a solid 20 minutes. It was a crazy, awesome experience [and] I wouldn’t give it up for anything,” MacMillan said.
