  Evan Watson seems to be an laid back senior, but his chill, smiley sense of humor is only half the story. Evan is very motivated and enjoys staying busy, but not overwhelmed by his many extracurricular activities and his challenging classes. Between sword fights in AP Spanish Five-his favorite class- and practicing with the golf team, he enjoys singing in the choir, participating in StuCo, writing for The North Star, and competing in FBLA. Outside of school, Evan is very active with his church’s youth group and even spent part of his summer on mission trips to help rebuild Joplin and New Orleans. Evan is an avid sports fan, though describes himself as always a fan more than he is an athlete, except in his school sport, golf. He hopes to go into a career that combines his love for sports and journalism after graduating from KU, the school of which he is a born-and-bred fan. As a Spanish afficianado, he wants to travel the globe, particularly to Spain to study in college. Additionally, one of his greatest aspirations is to one day have Morgan Freeman’s  “Voice-of-God” and, as a bass in choir, he’s getting close. Everyone has their weaknesses though, and Evan’s kryptonite happens to be an aversion to things sticking to his skin- sorry stickers, stamps and tattoos.
